After reading some of the reviews was a little hesitant to come here. Once here I can’t figure out what people are complaining about. The service was great and friendly. If you come during the evening expect to wait longer but during afternoon not much of a wait. The ice cream was delicious. Got the brownie bomb it had 3 small brownies squares and 3 scoops of ice cream plus a couple toppings. It was $7 which i find reasonable and not any different than what you pay at places like Coldstone etc so not sure why people complain. Great ice cream. Friendly service.

They've got a whole bunch of flavors you won't see anywhere else. I came for the peach, but stayed for the amaretto. You're going to need the refreshment after hiking up that dune, or just a day of strenuous shopping

The staff are very friendly and helpful. I was even asked if I had allergies so they could tell me which might cause me a problem. I had a hot fudge sundae and it was the bomb! Real hot fudge! !!! Awesome ice cream. I suggest anyone in the area give them a try.

This place is absolutely amazing. The owners are there every year that we go and they are genuinely the kindest and caring business owners I've ever seen. In addition to the wonderful service, the ice cream is literally the very best ice cream I've had. They make it there and is so extremely delicious. I get the butter pecan in a pretzel cone and my husband gets th lemon. 100% recommend!!

Terrible experience with server rudely kicking customer ahead of us out for an honest mistake. She paid for what she spilled they told her to get out as well as the rest of her party. Ice cream was nothing special and there are ice cream places all over the OBX

Food was great but the guy in the back who is the manager was a complete jerk to the small kids in the store. I will not return.

Unprofessional cursed and slamed the doors because she was upset. Scared my children. Called the manger and said she stands behind her employee although she cursed in front of my children and stormed out. Wow...enjoy

Super friendly guy on staff who is ready with a history lesson of jockeys ridge and Nags Head. Great ice cream selection. Unique soda collection with many in glass bottles. I got a Canada dry in a bottle. Cold and refreshing!

The “large” is a joke. There are way too many people. This is a tourist trap.

May 9 at 2 pm I visited. There was one person behind the counter, a young man in a yellow Scoops tee. I ordered two soft pretzels both with cheese. He rang me up, I tipped him, he reheated pretzels and cheese in the microwave, which took about 8 minutes to do. He filled two small containers with about a third of cheese each. When I asked him to fill the containers up with cheese, he said, "I didn't even charge you for that but okay," rudely and slammed a couple of doors. I didn't know he didn't charge me, I'd rather he charge me and give me a decent amount of cheese than give me a piddly amount and act rude about it. Wish I never tipped the guy. There were no other customers when I went in and no other customers when I left. There is no way this staff member or this company is ready for the tourist season. He should really be ashamed of himself. Never going here ever again.

Awesome ice cream! Lots of fun and unique flavors along with the classics. Great shakes too. Try the lemon. It's perfect! Nicest owner, very personable with all of our touristy questions. But the ice cream is so delicious we're so glad they were open when others weren't.

The staff was very rude and unprofessional. One of the staff made a very rude comment to my 3 year old daughter. We definitely will not be going back.

Every year my family vacations in Nags Head and we visit almost every night for a scoop of ice cream! I love the cantaloupe flavor and have it every night! Can't wait to be back the first week of July!

Good ice cream, but the person who served us was on his personal phone the whole time and then put it on speaker phone to keep talking as he made our shakes.

This is the same ice cream as the other location next to Slice Pizzeria, and it is the best on the entire strand.

We stopped here when we were on our recent trip to the Outer Banks based on a review from a friend. Scoop's is a great Ice Cream shop, plenty of flavors, and you can add toppings if you wish, as well.
